We keep you sailing
We are here to keep your ships sailing. We work 24 hours a day, 365 days per year to keep that promise.
We never miss a deadline
In all our years, we’ve never missed a deadline – even when a project has increased during docking time.
High quality and value
We deliver Swedish quality of the highest standard at competitive prices. We achieve this by combining years of experience with flexibility to work fast and efficiently.
Focus on the environment
Our planet is on loan from the generations of the future, therefore, we place great emphasis on sustainable solutions and safety.
History – Delivering Swedish quality since 1915
We have more than a century of experience of shipbuilding and ship repairs. Our history dates back to 1915, when Landskrona began building its docks and harbor areas. The paved dock, which was completed in 1920, was, at that time, the largest dry dock in Northern Europe. During the 1950s, the area was modernized, with new constructions added to allow for the construction and maintenance of ships. Following the shipyard crisis of the 1980’s the docks shifted its focus to the repair and reconstruction of ships, ship hulls and other steel constructions. In 1988, the dry dock was expanded to its current size.
Minimizing Environmental Impact
Our work may be dirty, but we’re working hard to make it cleaner. Sustainability is one of our watchwords. The waste from our ship repair projects is recycled and we are continuously replacing hazardous chemicals with more environmentally friendly alternatives. We are also certified to ISO 14001, the global standard for environmental management systems.
Working With Safety in Mind
For us, safety is also imperative. We care about the safety of the workers in our shipyard and are certified to OHSAS 18001. Our focus on safety also includes offering you peace of mind when docking at Oresund Dry Docks. Your vessel will be taken care of in a truly responsible and professional way.
On Friday 7th of February we had the pleasure of welcoming The Swedish Minister of Infrastructure – Mr. Tomas Eneroth – to our yard. Mr Eneroth arrived together with Axel Eriksson, Niklas Karlsson and Göran S Persson and was hosted by our CEO Jonas Hansson and Vice President Anders Larsson.
We presented our facility and ongoing works during a tour around the yard, were we passed by our present projects Finbo Cargo, Balder Viking, Thjelvar and Neptunus.
We got the opportunity to present our plans for the future, including establishing of another graving dock, and also discussed Trafikverkets recently finalized study for required measures in Landskrona fairway to accommodate next generation of vessels up to 240 meters.
It is important for us as a company to get the insight and understanding of the political side of large and complex processes concerning infrastructure development, and Mr Eneroths visit was highly appreciated. @ Oresund Drydocks Ship Repair Yard
